There have been a lot of interest and queries with regards to transport from Hotel to Homebush and return. We have been trying to organize this at the cheapest rate for everyone. Can managers please advise Song Hymn if you are interested in transport that will cost $195 per team each day. This will include pick-up and drop off at accommodation and possibly at least another 2 return trips during the day.

Please let him know if you are interested by Friday the 1st of July. For teams who are not interested, please also drop Song Hymn an email to confirm your alternate arrangements.

A reminder that the closing date for team event entries is Friday 11th March 2005 and closing date for individual event entries is Friday 9th June 2005.

Airport shuttle pickups have been arranged with Hills Airport Shuttle at $10 per person each way to and from the International or Domestic Airport to Meriton Apartments. Payment is to NSW Badminton who will pre-pay and guarantee payment to Hills Airport Shuttle service. To meet all nominated flight arrivals and departures, it would be greatly appreciated if team managers can provide the following details to the Event Director:

The central accommodation for all teams have been arranged at the fabulous Meriton Westport apartments in Parramatta. There are 24 x 2 room (5 king singles - $215.00 per room per night) or 2 x 3 room (7 king singles - $305.00 per room per night) apartments available for booking.

Teams should advise the number of apartments to be booked by Friday 11th March 2005. It would be difficult to find anything else of good value at such a competitive price. All other accommodation options have not been cost effective and availability limited due to other major conferences coinciding with our event. It is preferable for every team to be at the same accommodation for ease of meetings and shuttle bus services between Airport <-> Meriton Apartments, and Meriton Apartments <-> Sydney Olympic Park. This should assist teams to avoid hiring too many private team buses.

Other Accommodation Options include:
* Novotel Hotel at Sydney Olympic Park (twin room- $230 per night)
* Ibis Hotel at Sydney Olympic Park (queen room - $180 per night)
* Best Western Hotel at Westmead (family room - 3 people $130.00 per room per night or 4 people $145.00 per room per night; twin room - 2 people $115.00 per room per night)
* Travel Lodge Bankstown (twin room $120.00 per room per night)

Yonex will be the shuttle provider for the tournament.

We envisage a hit up for teams at the Sports Hall on Saturday 9th July between 12:00 noon and 2:00pm with Managers/Umpires meeting at the Meriton Apartments Boardroom on Saturday evening as the Bledisloe Rugby Cup will see 80,000 people crowding into Sydney Olympic Park from 2:00pm onwards coupled by many roadblocks and security checkpoints.
