The University of Sydney Badminton club welcomes badminton players of all levels. We are open to the public, but cater specifically for University of Sydney students. Whether you are a social player looking for a fun hit, or a competition-regular looking for some practice before your next big game, we are more than happy to have you come along.

We are affiliated with the Sydney Badminton Association Inc. and compete in all of their tournaments. We also compete in various intervarsity competitions throughout the year, including the Australian University Games and the Eastern Conference Games. You will also find us on Facebook! PLEASE READ THE FOLLOWING AS IT WILL AFFECT CLUB SESSION TIMES AND VENUES. THANK YOU

Dear club member,

For the last eight months many of you may have been aware of the surroundings of H.K Ward changing significantly. The demolition of old University buildings and landscape are the early stages to prepare the site for the new Medical Research center. This plan also includes the demolition of H.K Ward.

Previously, Sydney University and Sydney Uni Sport and Fitness made an agreement that H.K Ward will only be demolished when the new extension to the Sports and Aquatic Center is complete. However, due to unforeseen circumstances, any further excavation work will cause H.K Ward to collapse.

As a result, all clubs and user groups of H.K Ward will have to vacate by 31st January on short notice, and relocate to various venues on or off campus. Works on the new complex is expected to be completed by late January or early February 2013. We are currently in negotiations with Sydney Uni Sport & Fitness to find the best solution for the club and our members. We understand the temporary solution may not please everyone, but we have tried our hardest to suit.

If you have a venue in mind which is easily accessible by public transport, please let us know. All recommendations are welcomed. On behalf of Syndey Uni Sport & Fitness and Sydney Uni Badminton Club, we would like to apologise for any inconvenience caused. We hope you will continue to support us through this tough year, and keep enjoying this wondrous sport with us."
